INcarcinoma at Venus Envy Ottawa - November 2019

Selections from INcarcinoma are now on display at Venus Envy Ottawa @venusenvyottawa for the entire month of November to promote women’s health, sex and cancer dialogue.

INcarcinoma is a multi and inter-arts collaboration between Photographer Hazi Eldib @hazi490 and Writer Vanessa Rotondo @theartofxpression that merges photography, poetry, installation and performance + was funded by the Ontario Arts Council @ontarioartscouncil in 2018. 

Stop by Venus Envy @ 226 Bank St. in Ottawa to check it out. Purchase the show tradebook with all the pictures and poetry for $25. Proceeds will go towards continuing to tour the exhibit across Ottawa and Canada.

Join Lisa Rideout, Kelsey Rideout and Vanessa Rotondo on Saturday May 4, 2019 for I T R A N S F O R M, a workshop that aims to support artists who live with anxiety and depression, though you do not have to identify as an artist to join.

The workshop  will offer a space and tools to navigate mental health through dialogue and discussion., as well as tools and practices that support creative and emotional health,through nutrition and essential oils.

Find subtle and quiet, yet powerful techniques to find balance and transform..

INcarcinoma Exhibit at the 2019 WICC Ottawa Sugar Bush Breakfast

Women in Insurance Canada Crusade (WICC) invites you to join the 8th Annual 2019 Ottawa Sugar Bush Breakfast in the Shaw Centre’s Trillium Room on April 26th.

Help the local WICC Ontario Chapter raise funds to support the Canadian Cancer Society, as Canada’s leader in cancer research.

INcarcinoma: A Poetic Outline, a Multi & Inter-Arts project funded by the Ontario Arts Council, will be on exhibit to raise awareness about breast cancer, specifically in young women and to inspire empowerment and hope through the arts. Photographer Hasi Eldib and Poet Vanessa Rotondo will be on hand to take your questions.

Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra presents its Annual Good Friday Concert

As we enter the Easter season, Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra returns with its annual Good Friday concert, on April 19, 7:30 pm, at Dominion Chalmers Church. Haydn’s work “The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross”, is the perfect setting to sit, listen, and reflect upon the solemnity of this time of year, or to find a moment’s peace in this busy world.

The written works of Ottawa-based poets will be shared during the concert by Ottawa’s newly named Poet Laureates, Deanna Young and Margaret Michèle Cook.

Poetry by Jenny Haysom, Brenda Leifso, Vanessa Rotondo, Kevin Mallon, Chloé LaDuchesse, Fanny Lachambre, Julie Huard and Serge Dion will be shared.
